• Tissue, cell pellet or smear processing through to a paraffin wax or OCT block, or fixed slide
• Determination of the optimal tissue fixative and section orientation to ensure that high quality, informative sections are generated
• Antibody search and selection
• Development of optimum labelling protocols using appropriate positive and negative controls, blocking peptides, antibody titration and most appropriate visualisation techniques
• Measurement of expression patterns or changes in tissue dimensions and cellularity using quantitiative histometric analysis. Further information can be provided using image analysis techniques to define changes in label intensity or area
• All can be accompanied by high-quality digital photography and a discussion of the generated data within a detailed report
• In situ hybridisation can also be offered in conjunction with a collaborator 
• Analysis of "claim support" skin biopsies
