Immunohistochemistry

We are specialists in IHC protocol development.  With a flexible and open approach we take on a range of markers from the well-defined to the more novel, lesser-known antigens and will also work with the client’s own antibodies.

Epistem can assist you in sourcing and selecting antibodies to your chosen targets and source suitable positive control tissues or provide them from our tissue banks of normal and diseased tissues, tumour xenografts, cell pellets and rodent tissues.

With a thorough understanding of well-placed negative and positive controls, antigen retrieval techniques and detection methods, Epistem can develop protocols for chromogenic or immunofluorescence labelling.  Protocols can be validated to the level you require for your work.

Epistem also hosts the Ventana Discovery Ultra IHC automated platform which can be used for both non-regulatory and regulatory studies.  For complete lock down of a protocol and enhanced standardisation, this platform allows protocols to be easily translated from our lab to yours.

We have an extensive and growing panel of over 150 antibodies with fully optimised protocols for use on human and rodent tissues that can be translated to your samples.  Alternatively we can translate your working protocols to our lab.
