Histologist

We have an immediate vacancy for an experienced scientist within the histology laboratory of our contract research team. This position requires a high level of technical excellence as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, often to tight deadlines.

The key individual will have extensive hands on experience of histology techniques, immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence. In situ hybridisation techniques would be desirable but not essential. The successful applicant will work alongside the current histology manager to oversee the rapid growth of this department, whilst delivering high quality services to our customers.

Responsibilities will include developing, troubleshooting and implementing new techniques in these areas; providing routine support to the scientific teams; implementation and conformance of all histology SOPs and operation to GLP.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are required for customer liason and production of both internal and external reports.

This is a full time post and salary will be comensurate with experience.
