Important Information

  • Individual tests, including certificates, cost £79.00 each (incl. VAT).
  • If you require additional Day 2 or Day2/Day 8 testing for your return to the UK, please complete a separate order after completing this.
  • First Class delivery and collection of kits incurs no additional charge. We charge an additional £10 for Special Delivery. We are not responsible for the speed of Royal Mail's delivery, please consider the most suitable option for your needs.
  • Orders received and confirmed before 13:00 on weekdays are despatched the same day. Orders received after 13:00 and at weekends, are despatched the next working day.
  • You can also collect your kit from Epistem's lab. Collection is available 08:30 to 16:30, Monday to Friday. Our address for collection is: The Incubator Building, 48 Grafton Street, Manchester, M13 9XX. Please wear a mask.
  • You can return kits to us by hand, courier, or Royal Mail. Return of samples is the responsibility of the customer. We cannot accept any liability if your sample does not arrive at our facility in time. Our lab is open to receive samples between 08:30 and 16:30, Monday to Friday.
  • The fastest turnaround is when you come directly to us to return a sample in person.
  • Your results and certificate are sent to your email. If we receive your sample before 10:00, we guarantee that you will receive your certificate by midnight on the same day. For samples received after 10:00, results are sent the next day (excluding Sunday).
  • If you are travelling in the next 4 days, please contact our hotline for advice before completing the form.
  • If the time between the test and the flight ("Test to Flight Gap") is less than 48 hours, please contact our hotline for advice before completing the form.

Test Numbers & Dates

The total number of individuals requiring a test. Individuals are not required to be living at the same address, however test kits will be delivered to a single main contact address. Distribution is then the responsibility of the customer. If test kits are required to be delivered in multiple locations, they should be ordered separately.

There is a limit of 10 individual tests for each order. If you require more please contact our hotline or submit two orders. COVID-19 Testing Service Terms and Conditions

  1. Payment assumes that the individuals to be tested accept the Epistem Limited privacy policy.
  2. Customers hereby confirm that by submitting a Sample Submission Form with their sample for analysis, the name of individual listed on the Sample Submission Form is the person in which the sample has been taken from. By submitting both the sample and the Sample Submission Form, the individual consents that sample shall be tested for the presence of COVID-19. By completing the Test Request Form, the individual acknowledges that their sample will be processed in line with Epistem Ltd. Terms of Use and Privacy Policy which can be found on the Epistem Ltd. website (www.epistem.co.uk)
  3. Test processing will not be initiated until full payment is received by Epistem Ltd. Payment is currently by credit or debit card, details are supplied on completion and confirmation of the order form.
  4. The standard testing package includes shipping of the collection kits and the return of collected samples by First Class T24 Royal Mail (pre-paid). Priority post boxes should be used.
  5. If samples are required to be processed quickly, please arrange the expedited return of samples yourself by Special Delivery or using a Courier. Fees for the accelerated return of samples by Special Delivery or using a Courier are at the customer's expense.
  6. All shipments, whether by Royal Mail or courier must use the provided bag and label showing the legally required UN3373 code. Epistem does not hold any responsibility for the return of samples to our facility.
  7. Samples received by 10:30am on a working weekday (Monday-Friday) will have the results available the same working day either by email. Samples received after 10:30am will be processed the next working weekday and results sent that same day by email. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the shipment arrives back at the laboratory no later than 10:30am Monday-Friday on the day the results are required.
  8. Outward delivery of sample collection kits by courier can be arranged in advance, at extra cost, if required but Epistem does not guarantee the performance or delivery times of any third party shipping service. There is also a Next Day Special Delivery option available at an additional cost.
  9. Epistem Limited cannot accept responsibility for delivery failures due to incomplete or incorrect addresses. Please ensure the address you provide on the form is the full postal address of where you require the kits to be delivered. This must be a UK address. Epistem Limited do not deliver overseas.
  10. Manual collection and return: Kits can be collected directly from Epistem's premises by prior arrangement but Epistem does not have a walk in clinic and no samples can be collected on site. Customers must take the swab kits away for use elsewhere. Kits containing collected samples can be returned by hand if within the provided containers and external outer shipping bag. Under no circumstances are individuals experiencing COVID symptoms or who have been in contact with a known infected individual allowed on our premises. If you are experiencing COVID symptoms, please contact your local GP or dial 111.
  11. Certificates summarising results are available upon request. If certificate(s) are requested, the certificate(s) will be returned as digital PDF files by email. Customers should ensure they have the means to present the certificate(s) in the form required, either digitally or via print-out.
  12. For outbound tests, if we have not yet despatched your testing kit/s, you will be refunded in full.
  13. If your testing kit/s are for outbound or pre-flight tests and have already been dispatched, you can return the kit/s unopened and unused for a refund minus an administration fee (£20/kit where an order has been dispatched by standard delivery and £30/kit if an order has been dispatched by Special Delivery), within 14 days of receipt, to:

  14. If your testing kit/s have already been opened we are unable to provide a refund.
  15. For Day 2 Lateral Flow Tests, once a booking reference has been issued after payment, we are unable to provide a refund.
  16. Refunds or free re-tests are not possible if the swabs contain insufficient or incorrect sample and provide non-conclusive results. Customers should ensure they strictly adhere to the sampling guidelines provided with the test kits.
  17. In the event of a replacement kit being required, there is an administration fee of £7.50 per kit where an order has been dispatched by standard delivery and £15.00 per kit if an order has been dispatched by Special Delivery.
  18. Epistem is ISO15189 accredited for COVID19 detection (UKAS reference no. 22008) and we use a test that is approved for diagnostic use in Europe (CE-IVD marked) and the United States (FDA approved). The test has also been approved by Public Health England (PHE).
  19. Different countries have different requirements and these are constantly changing. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure they instruct Epistem to include all the information required. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that Epistem's test and accreditation is compliant with the country they are travelling to or the airline they are travelling with and refunds cannot be given for failure to comply. Epistem does not hold any responsibility for information that has not been included on certificate that would prevent a customer travelling or entering a country. Epistem has the right not to include information provided by the customer on the certificate.
  20. Beyond 3 months in which a test has been conducted by Epistem, if customers wish to obtain a copy of their certificate, results or any other enquiries relating to a sample that has been processed, customers must provide the Epistem Unique Reference number (Barcode) in order to obtain this information.

Christmas Period Testing

Please note: We will not be testing on the 25th and 26th of December 2021 and the 1st and 2nd January 2022. For the remainder of the Christmas period, please also factor in any potential post delivery issues with Royal Mail. Please order your kits well in advance of when you require them and you may need to either collect tests from us or drop them into our facility during working hours.

Please note we will not be able to receive returns by post 25th-28th December or 2nd-3rd January.
